Opened by the Atherton family in 1960, the original Sandy Point Restaurant was a casual establishment beloved for its home-cooked meals. After the restaurant suffered fire damage in 1975, the Athertons reopened it on a new plot of land that was previously a resort. The busy restaurant became a hotspot for fantastic food and live performances. It has since changed owners, getting a remodel in 2013 at the West Olive location and adding a 2nd location in Grand Rapids more recently.Our Dedication to Quality

It is located on the southern tip of Tasmania. It is bordered by the Huon River to the north, and Picton River to the north-west. It includes Dover, Geeveston and Southport, and part of the Southwest National Park.
Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
