Opened by the Atherton family in 1960, the original Sandy Point Restaurant was a casual place beloved for its home-cooked meals. After the building caught fire in 1975, the Athertons reopened it on a new piece of land that was previously a resort. The bustling restaurant was a hub for fantastic food and entertainment. It has now changed owners, getting an update in 2013 at the West Olive restaurant location and getting a 2nd location in Grand Rapids in 2020.Our Commitment to Quality

Douglas is a Scottish masculine given name which originated from the surname Douglas. Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
