Opened by the Athertons in 1960, the original Sandy Point Restaurant was a drive-in place beloved for its home-cooked meals. After the building suffered fire damage in 1975, the Athertons reinvented it on a new plot of land that was previously a resort. The busy restaurant was a hotspot for fantastic food and live performances. It has since switched over to new owners, receiving an upgrade in 2013 at the West Olive location and adding a second location in Grand Rapids in 2020.Our Commitment to Quality

It is located on the southern tip of Tasmania. It is bordered by the Huon River to the north, and Picton River to the north-west. It includes Dover, Geeveston and Southport, and part of the Southwest National Park.
Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
