Opened by the Athertons in 1960, the original Sandy Point Restaurant was a drive-in establishment beloved for its home-cooked dishes. After the building caught fire in 1975, the Athertons reinvented it on a new plot of land that was previously a resort. The bustling restaurant was a hub for terrific food and entertainment. It has since changed owners, getting an upgrade in 2013 at the West Olive location and getting a 2nd location in Grand Rapids more recently.Our Dedication to Quality

Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
