Founded by the Athertons in 1960, the original Sandy Point Restaurant was a drive-in place known for its home-cooked meals. After the building suffered fire damage in 1975, the Athertons reinvented it on a different piece of land that was previously a resort. The busy restaurant was a hotspot for excellent food and live performances. It has since changed owners, getting an update in 2013 at the West Olive location and getting a second location in Grand Rapids in 2020.Our Commitment to Quality

The name Hamilton probably originated in the village of Hamilton, Leicestershire, England, but bearers of that name became established in the 13th century in Lanarkshire, Scotland. The town of Hamilton, South Lanarkshire was named after the family some time before 1445. Contemporary Hamiltons are either descended from the original noble family, or descended from people named after the town.
Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
