Opened by the Atherton family in 1960, the original Sandy Point Restaurant was a drive-in establishment known for its home-cooked dishes. After the building caught fire in 1975, the Athertons reinvented it on a new piece of land that was previously a resort. The busy restaurant was a hotspot for terrific food and live performances. It has since changed owners, receiving an upgrade in 2013 at the West Olive restaurant location and getting a 2nd location in Grand Rapids more recently.Our Commitment to Quality

Kent Land District is one of the twenty land districts of Tasmania which are part of the Cadastral divisions of Tasmania. It was formerly one of the 18 counties of Tasmania. It is located on the southern tip of Tasmania. It is bordered by the Huon River to the north, and Picton River to the north-west. It includes Dover, Geeveston and Southport, and part of the Southwest National Park.
Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
