Opened by the Athertons in 1960, the original Sandy Point Restaurant was a casual place beloved for its home-cooked dishes. After the restaurant caught fire in 1975, the Athertons reinvented it on a new plot of land that was once a resort. The bustling restaurant became a hotspot for terrific food and entertainment. It has since switched over to new owners, receiving an update in 2013 at the West Olive restaurant location and adding a second location in Grand Rapids more recently.Our Dedication to Quality

Douglas is a Scottish masculine given name which originated from the surname Douglas. Although today the name is almost exclusively given to boys, it was used as a girl's name in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries in the north of England. The Scottish surname Douglas was borne by one of the most powerful families of the Kingdom of Scotland (the Earls of Douglas, Angus, Morton, Dukes of Hamilton and others). It has sometimes been stated that the given name is connected with the given name Dougal, although it is more likely derived from the surname already mentioned.
Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
